Edinburgh:

Take the X62 to Innerleithen (leaves every 20 minutes from Edinburgh Bus Station and North Bridge.) From Innerleithen, it is about a15 minute walk from the bus stop to Traquair, or local taxi services are available. For more details please follow this Border Buses Link.

Alternately, the Borders Railway is the longest new domestic railway to be built in over 100 years and it offers a direct and picturesque route from Edinburgh to the Scottish Borders. From Galashiels Station, the X62 bus (runs every 30 minutes) takes you directly to Innerleithen which is a 20 minute scenic walk from Traquair House. Please follow this Scot Rail Link.

Glasgow:

Take the Scot Rail Service from Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley (leaves every 15 minutes).

From Edinburgh Waverley, it is a one minute walk to North Bridge bus stop where you can take the X62 to Innerleithen (leaves every 30 minutes). From there, it is about a15 minute walk from the bus stop to Traquair, or local taxi services are available. Please follow this Scot Rail Link  & Border Buses Link.

By Car:

It is an easy drive from both Edinburgh (29 miles, 50 min) and Glasgow (60 miles,1.5h). Major routes are theA702, A72, A7 from Edinburgh, and theM8/74fromGlasgow.There is free parking on site.

Traquair Footpath Network:

We are delighted to announce the completion of a brand new off-road footpath connecting Innerleithen to Traquair House. The 4.5km path network branches across the beautiful woodlands of Traquair, including links to Traquair village and a high-level link to the Southern Upland Way which offers stunning views over the Tweed Valley.
