Beyond Borders Scotland is an Edinburgh based non-governmental organisation, dedicated to international dialogue and cultural exchange. Founded by UN mediator Mark Muller Stuart KC, Beyond Borders runs year round projects building on Scotland’s vibrant cultural and political heritage, each year curating a programme of cultural events, exhibitions, visual arts performances and panel discussions. We work in collaboration with key partner organisations in Edinburgh and internationally, including The New York Times, the United Nations, Chatham House, Beyond Conflict, Georgetown University, the London School of Economics, the Delfina Foundation and many more, culminating in our flagship event – the Beyond Borders International Festival at Traquair House in the stunning Scottish Borders, which brings together critically acclaimed authors, diplomats, political figures and artists for an eclectic weekend of events.
