Blake Morrison is an award-winning British poet and author who has published a number of fiction and non-fiction works, some of which have been adapted for films, television and theatre. He was previously a professor of Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths College, University of London and is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Literature. His most acclaimed work were his memoirs And When Did You Last See Your Father? which were published in 1993 and won the J. R. Ackerley Prize for Autobiography. Before this, Morrison worked for The Times Literary Supplement and had worked as Literary Editor for both The Observer and the Independent on Sunday. He has also contributed to The New Yorker, the London Review of Books, the New Statesman, the New York Times and Poetry Review – alongside regularly writing for The Guardian.
