Fiona Darroch is a lawyer and former opera singer. Ms Darroch specialises in environmental law, with a marked interest in regulatory litigation, pollution, nuisance and waste, and has been involved in various cases concerning environmental issues. She is also the founder of Protimos that works for increasing legal awareness and knowledge in local communities in developing countries, where a high degree of resource extraction is taking place. Since 2009, Ms Darroch has been a member of the Clinton Global Initiative and she has through the work in Protimos and the Clinton Global Initiative assisted vulnerable local communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Ms Darroch has a degree in history from King’s College London and a Masters degree in International Environment and Economic Law from SOAS.
