James Fergusson is a freelance journalist who has written for numerous publications. He started his career in journalism with the Independent and has since reported on current affairs in Europe, North and East Africa, the Far East, the Caribbean and focused on Central Asia and Afghanistan. He has written several books including A Million Bullets: The Real Story of the British Army in Afghanistan, which was the British Army’s Military Book of the Year. His latest book, The World’s Most Dangerous Place, deals with Somalia and its diaspora and the security threat that the newest battlefront against Al Qaeda poses to the West.
