Jeremy Purvis is a former Liberal Democrat MSP for Tweeddale, Ettrick and Lauderdale. After graduating from the Universtiy of London, Mr. Purvis worked for Sir David Steel in the House of Commons and then ran his office in the House of Lords before moving to Edinburgh to work for a parliamentary affairs company. In 2001 he co-founded his own strategic communications consultancy. He was elected to the Scottish Parliament in 2003 and was re-elected in 2007. He wrote the Scottish Liberal Democrats 2011 Election Manifesto and is now the leader of the Devo Plus cross-party group and the Campaign Director of Clean Up Scotland.
