Madeleine Habib is a skipper and activist who was the captain of the all-female protest boat that was intercepted in international waters when sailing to Gaza. She was one of 13 pro-Palestine activists on board The Women’s Boat to Gaza, which was aiming to break Israel’s naval blockade. She has been involved in campaigns about social justice and environmental protection since her teens.  It was in her late twenties that she managed to merge her sailing lifestyle with activism & campaigning, & she has been doing so ever since. Madeleine’s sea-faring career has taken her to all corners of the world.
