Mariella Frostrup is a British journalist and television presenter, well known on British TV and radio arts programmes. She has written for several publications including the Guardian and the Observer and has been part of the judging panel for the Man Booker Prize, the Orange Prize for Fiction and the Evening Standard British Film Awards. Ms Frostrup has an honorary degree of Doctor of Letters from Nottingham Trent University and currently presents The Book Show and the BBC Radio 4 programme Open Book.  She has also been active in the charity sector and is a campaigner for women’s rights and gender equality. It 2010 she co-created the Gender Rights Equality Action Trust.
