Paul McMahon is a sustainability expert and former advisor to UN agencies who helps run a company that invests in ecological farming systems. He is also the author of Feeding Frenzy: The New Politics of Food. The book traces the history of the global food system, reveals the underlying causes of recent food price spikes, and lifts the lid on the scramble for farmland that the current ‘food crisis’ has unleashed. It explores some big questions of our time, not least whether we will be able to feed a growing world population in the 21st century.
