Sadakat Kadri is a barrister and writer. Mr. Kadri continues to do legal work, including visiting Syria on behalf of the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute. His latest book is Heaven on Earth: A Journey Through Shari’a Law, which is a critique of Islamic jurisprudence, which combines political analysis, history and on-the-ground research from south Asia and the Middle East.
