Six books that each journey through one place: Britain, Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, the West Bank and Latin America.
These books explore the concept of national identity, cultural collision, protest, and the devastating impact of war. All six authors are taking part in a ‘Festival of Literature and Thought, Books, Borders & Bikes’ on the 17 & 18 August 2013 set in the historical surroundings of Traquair House in Innerleithen at the Beyond Borders Festival.
